My roots run deep in the Quad Cities. For the first ten years of my life, I lived on a farm, where the outdoors simply became a part of me, and a well-kept lawn felt like a natural extension of home. What inspired me to start my own business was the unmatched work ethic demonstrated by my father, who owned and operated successful businesses. Additionally, my stepfather, a certified arborist, showed me the importance of combining that work ethic with specialized knowledge. And, I must give credit to my mother, whose absolute love for nature, animals, and all things green was a constant source of inspiration. Her 'magical touch' with gardening, trees, and especially flowers, showed me the beauty, importance, and pride in nurturing what surrounds you.

Growing up in the Quad City area, I remember Sunday mornings, the sound of lawnmowers, the sense of community as everyone took pride in their homes and lawns. Majestic oaks and vibrant green lawns weren't just scenery; they represented the pride in a well-kept home and a well-kept lawn, a feeling that resonated throughout the entire neighborhood. It wasn't just about trees and grass; it was about the feeling of home, right here in the Quad Cities.

Seeing the impact my parents and stepfather had on their surroundings and community, I decided to dedicate myself to learning the best practices in arboriculture and landscaping. To further enhance my expertise, I am currently studying to become a certified arborist, ensuring that Rivers Edge always provides the most knowledgeable and up-to-date care. I started helping neighbors, and quickly realized this wasn't just a job, it was a way to truly serve my community.
